Roofing is work at height by definition. WRS operates to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and WorkSafe NZ guidance, holds Site Safe membership, and builds its safety culture into the way crews plan, sequence and self-perform every project — not a document filed at the start and forgotten by the second week.

Working at Heights
Fall protection, edge protection and fall-arrest systems — mandatory for all work above three metres.
Trained Teams
Ongoing toolbox meetings, pre-task planning and site-specific safety plans before work begins.
Certified Systems
Scaffolding to standard, LBP certification and Roofing Association NZ membership.
Continuous Improvement
Incident reporting, WorkSafe NZ compliance and regular audits across every site.
Most of our sites sit under Tier-1 main contractors, which means our safety systems are scrutinised before we set foot on the deck. We plan the work to the conditions: edge protection and access designed for the roof in front of us, not a template carried over from the last job.
Toolbox meetings and pre-task planning keep the crew ahead of the work rather than reacting to it. When something changes on site — a sequence, a weather window, a design revision — the safety plan moves with it, and the team is briefed before they climb.
We report and review every incident and near-miss, audit our own practice, and hold our certifications current. Safety isn't separate from the build. It's the condition that lets the build happen.
